They ignored, from early on, the actual autistics who they claimed they were advocating for

They greedily engorged their charities with donations, fattening the “organizations” more than helping those actually needing the help

They didn’t listen, they didn’t learn!

They produced some of the most harmful, sensationalist, manipulative propaganda ever created about autism, taking weak corrective actions only when their “bottom line” was at risk

They didn’t listen, they didn’t learn!

They simultaneously dismissed those of us deemed not “affected enough” yet eagerly used our numbers to justify their so-called “epidemic” statistics

They didn’t listen, they didn’t learn!

In doing so, they missed an incredible treasure of strengths, first hand experiences and gifts which could enrich the lives of all, autistic or not!

They still don’t listen, they still don’t learn!

They enable and empower the sympathy addicted, for whom the autistics in their lives turned into tokens used to build their own “hero” and “martyr” identities at their expense!

They still don’t listen, they still don’t learn!

With this “awareness” they help create a public option worthy of dystopian fiction, in which murderers and abusers of autistics are construed as victims worthy of sympathy and “compassion!”

They still don’t listen, they still don’t learn!

They keep turning deaf ears to the needs and concerns of autistics, thus showing their true allegiances. Claiming to “speak for autism” but silencing the autistic. Can that even make sense?

They still don’t listen, they still don’t learn!

Could it be that, when it comes to actual autistics, they just DON’T CARE?
